well buddy.. my fren uses it and there has been no probs wid signal. in fact any phone of today doesn't haf any signal probs. there must be a problem wid the operator or wid the phone's antenna. get it checked.

as for ur second Q, the forum is full of Qs on that. search.....

No you can't increase your signal strength......
As it is decided automatically. It's a GSM technology function.

When you are near to the Base station in perticular cell then the base station tells your mobile to reduce you transmitting power. And if you are far from base station than you mobile transmitter automatically strengthen its signal.

Understand that the antenna is a passive device.
It doesn't requied any power to receive the signal. It's all depend on antena construction. And it is standered as per the GSM technology.

Difficulty in receiving the signal suggest that there may be some damage in your phone antenna or other controlling device of your phone.

well buddy.. it depends on both.. the cell as well as ur network.. as far as i know, 6233 has very good reception.. all nokia fones do for that matter.. so in ur case i guess its the network provider who is at fault..not the fone
