Need For Speed Underrground

Hi,

My Friend Just Formatted And Again Installed Nfs Underground.
But After Doing That When Ever He Clicks To Speed Icon To Start The Game . It Gives Error That It Is Not A Valid Win32 File And It Restarts The System .

What Is The Problem ?

Any Solution For This ?

REINSTALLING THE GAME DOES NOT SOLVE THE PROBLEM ?

The file speed.exe is gone currupt I think. It can be because of a bad install or a virus.
Here I think what you should do :
Uninstall the game.
Run CheckDisk in safe mode or At startup.
Check for Viruses.
Install all patches for XP.
Reinstall Game Now.

I think this should solve the problem. Also install latest version of Windows Installer.

Underground run perfectly well even on Windows XP Beta, Home and Pro.
So he don't need to use compatibilty mode...
But yes he can try....It won't hurt...
