Actually instead of going for a laptop car charger, you can go for a universal DC converter, which converts DC current from the car's battery into AC current and you can use it like a normal plug point at home. You can charge your laptop or your mobile phone or just anything which needs a recharge. It'll cost Rs.1500 and is worth every rupee spent.

I got it as a gift. I myself found the MRP to be Rs.1,550/=

I don't know how much it actually costs also. Should be lesser than that only. I'll ask and tell tomorrow from where you can get it.

After much persuasion, he told me. He bought it at Chennai CitiCentre at a shop next to KFC on the same floor. It is a dream gadget for me. I charge my laptop or cellphone or PDA in my car without a need to buy separate mobile chargers for them.
