Microsoft this week began contacting early beta testers for its next version of Windows Live OneCare, which is entering a new "Perpetual Beta" program. (Sounds like a Google thing) http://www.smileycons.com/img/emotions/132.gif

Currently, the beta is invite-only and there are no details yet about what new features will appear in the next version. Microsoft shipped OneCare 1.5 alongside Windows Vista earlier this year.

Does every version of a AV needs to be in Beta?? Hey what's the purpose of beta? Earlier it was to find bugs, get feedback and improve upon product before final release but nowdays beta term is used to generate curiosity and get publicity for the product. :p That's how the definition of beta term has changed.

now i thnk they'll use delta to signify even a single bugfix

PS: delta in maths means a very small change
