i had sent my intel 865 GBF to intel as it was having boot problems & was under warranty. now i do know that we have to send only the mobo to intel & not other things. So while my tech was sending my mobo back, i did tell him to send only what is required. He told me that he sends intel mobos back to intel on a daily basis & he knows that the the 'base' of the motherboard which is used to attach the fan is always sent back along with the mobo & intel always returns it. but now intel is saying it will not return the base & its not responsible
