hi frnds.
i m usin compaq presario 1600 laptop with inbuilt dvd rom.
My dvd rom works fine with the cds but whn i insert any dvd in it n try to opn it messes me a msg like :
"WINDOWS CANNOT READ FRM THE DISK.THE DISK MIGHT BE CORRUPTED,OR IT COULD BE USING A FORMAT THAT IS NOT COMPATIBLE WITH WINDOWS."
for ur kind iformation all the cds r working fine with the dvd rom i don no whts wrong with the dvds.
can any1 comeup with the help plzz...??????

Seems ur DVD are written in a format which ur DVDrom cannot read, if u have Digit DVDs try playing them, it should work, if that works then particular DVds are the source of the problem.

This mostly happens if the DVD was written with multi session & it may not be readable by ur dvd rom.
