i've done the analysis of my harddisk n found these values..currently i'm worried about the temp of the harddisk ...n why i'm not able to fully utilize the system...... it says fitness n performance 95% any idea as how cud i lower the hardidsk temp..n improve system performance..i'm P4 2.0G 845g chipset ..seagate 80 gb hdd n only one fan at 3000 rpm

U can use a HDD fan to cool ur drive or try cleaning ur cabinet and the clutter in it, but 46 degrees are quite normal if u ask me and it won't damage ur drive. I doubt what u used to analyze ur HDD- They are all rubbish I suppose.

It is quite ok. My HDD temp is near 42 degrees and fitness is 98%. I doubt they will ever show 100%.

my WD caviar 160GB used to show 100% for the first few days.:D :D

i DON'T USE ANY software ,takes back up thrice a week .

HD can withstand tempratures of 50C easily. Anything beyond that & you need to worry
