Guys i forgot my Lock code...
and in help option they says that contact service provider.when i called them they says we dont have the lock code...we only have puk code...

so how to get rid of this...
?

and i want to aks that i want to upgrade firmware of N72..is there any latest firmware availabe..??
my N72 firmware is V 2.0635.3.0.2

joey, try this...
this will format ur fone, but as u want to reset the forgotten unlock code..
so take backup of ur data and everything else..
restart ur fone...
press 3 + green button(using which u pick a call) + *
this means u hav to press 3, the green button and the star button at the same time for some time...
i think now it will not ask u the unlock code and everything on the fone will b resetted...
Try it... i think it will work..
After that fone will restart automatically...
Leave the keys when u see the logo of nokia or watever displayed...
After that u can set ur own password and can upgrade to latest firmware.. :)

y shd he lose all his data 4 a lock code.. Instead get the mcode app or pm me ur imei.. I ll giv u ur master code

Sir,

Go to Nokia site. select region,Type "Lock code" in search area.
it provides window which asks you EMEI number entering it provides you lock code. try this before going for formatting.

Upgrding firmware is possible through Nokia PC suite. you willl see icon "upgrade firmware" if you have latest PC suite. it will require internet connection.
never upgrade firmware if possibility of power crash in your area. it will make your phone useless if supply cuts during upgrade...

ok...yesterday night i did this...
i use the nokia software updater and checked for firmware....no new firmware available...
but it asked for reinstall the firmware..so i thought lets try..i make the back up of phone memory and my phone is reset to default settings(obviously)....
so lock code is now the default one....
and thnx for help guys

hey guys...new problem..
today i formatted my memory card and now it says..memory card is corrupted....
and when it agains try to format..phone restart automatically...
