Hi,

I wish to upgrade my hardware to make in Vista Home Premium compliant. At the moment I am not in a hurry to upgrade to Vista Home Premium. Currently I run WINXP Home.

My current Config is

CPU - Intel(R) Pentium(R) 4 CPU 2.66GHz - Socket 478 mPGA

Mother boards - Asus P4BGL-MX based on Northbridge Intel i845GL rev. B1

Memory Type DDR
Memory Size 512 MBytes

Can you please help with an ideal config which is not very havy on the wallet, to run Vista Home Premium smoothly without hiccups.

Regards
mandeep

A dual core is preffered. U will need a new proccy, mobo and ram upgrade for that.
AMD Athlon X2 3600+ AM2 : 5k
Asus M2N VM mobo : 3.8k
2 * 512 DDR2[533 or 667]: 5k
--------------------------------
13.8k
U can use ur current HDD but its best if have an extra 160 Gb or higher SATA2 with 16MB buffer. Itll cost u 2.5k.

The Asus M2N has best onboard GFX[6100]on it and has enuf juice to run Vista Ultimate with Aero enabled.
