View Full Version : Acer 15" Laptop LCD only at Kolkata

My laptop's 15" LCD has gone bad, though the model is under warranty, i have to replace myself. Any one have idea of replacement of the same may pm me.

What do you mean? Do you have the lcd panel to replace the old one or you want help to get it. For the latter, you will find it at http://fastrackcomputing.net or search shreelaptops on ebay. Make sure you select the right lcd (WS or not)

For help replacing the LCD, I had a HD video from tomshardwareguide showing the same. Search for it on their website or let me know, I will try to upload it somewhere.

If it was any other day, I would have posted not to bump old threads. But not this time. Thanks for the bump! If someone needs a non-widescreen 15" notebook lcd panel, please send me a PM.

My Acer laptop recently died due to some power circuit in its internals and it is screwed beyond repairs. Selling it part by part is the best option :) Long shot, I know.

s754 Mobile Sempron 2800+ Should work just fine on a desktop board!

hmmm... I have a 754 board lying around, had some issues so I kept i aside thought It would be worthless, never cared to sell it or anything, if I get the issues sorted out, I'll let u know

i have a 754 board .but my athlon 2000+ burnt off a few days back.. will tht 2800 sempron work for me??..
is it true tht the semprons a of lesser quality than the athlons or bartons??

technically yes, u will need to do some changes in the board socket though, or else you will just end up getting the processor fried

The notebook is based on the M760GX chipset from SiS. I have seen desktop boards of the same chipset for s754 proccys. That is why i felt it should work just fine. I'm not really sure whether I want to sell it now. My exams are going on currently, there was a guy interested in getting the laptop as is for 12k. Will see how far that goes, otherwise it is all part by part! the LCD screen would be my first preference to sell, though.

as u are from Mumbai, so chance otherwise i would have tested with acer laptop.
