CD Write Problem

he guys, I have CD writer of LG...when i insert disc...sometimes it shutdown my pc automatically... and sometimes in the middle of running cd, it hangs pc... so i have to restart pc from main switch... also when i write cd, it stops after burning.. and pc hangs...

so what I do to run CDs effectively in my CD rom ??/ :confused:

Try cleaning ur drive using a lens cleaner

Also if ur on windows, check for viruses and malware/spyware. Try on another OS or on a fresh install of ur current OS.

Els mostly ur drive is conked, head to the service centre

Freshly install drivers and burning softwares...also try wat sudhix said.

YOur PSU(SMPS) might be gone buddy!!! just try changing it , if oyu can get a friends then also it will be good...

After inserting a disc , the PC restarts or hangs just when adequate power is not provided to it,,,

if the above methods fail then update ur drive's firmware.

LG writers are pain in the arse so best option is not to buy them.

i m using one since last 3 years never faced any prob...
problematic are samsung writers Lg have a decent quality..
exceptions are always there..
