Guys, i have pentium 3 500 mhz 384 mb ram and wxpsp2. My grandpa is coming with some DVD movies to watch. We dont have a DVD player. He says, buy a new one it costs only 1500/- I think those players are very flimsy. So 1st we decided to go for a DVD player for the computer. Its rate is around 1.5k and a DVD RW costs only 2.1k So we're thinking of buying a DVD RW for the computer. I wanted to know that whether the DVD RW will give problems for my computer or it will work fine? Also if we buy DL-DVD RW will it work. My PSU is 450W ATX. Suggest a good company. Is LG fine? Current load on my PSU is-
10gb HDD
40gb HDD
1 USB card
1 LAN card
KB
RAT(MOUSE)
HP PSC
COM1, LPT1, COM2 disabled. :)

Your SMPS should definitely handle the load
I suggest you to buy Sony

@all, ok now it is confirmed that a DVD RW/DL-DVD RW will be supported by the PSU. Now tell me whether the CPU and machine config. is ok for it to work.
