suggest volume settings for speakers

i have bought creative 5200 5.1 speakers and audigy value card.
suggest me good settings for speaker placement and volume to get decent surround sound.

The above is the ideal setup for 5.1 systems. And as for the volume, crank all the knobs to the right if ur 5.1 can handle that.
