I hav decided 2 convert all my mp3s to to ogg to save some hdd space. But i donot want any loss in quality after d converion.

This is how i hav decided 2 convert:

mp3 bitrate - ogg bitrate

320 - 192
256 - 160
192 - 120
160 - 96
128 - 80
96 - 60
64 - 40

Wil this lead 2 any loss in quality? if yes can u sugget me a better way 2 convert?

another problem is that, i used 2 use WMP 2 play my mp3 files. It used 2 show lyrics (if they wer stored in d mp3 tags). but

WMP cannot play ogg & winamp doesnot show lyrics. can u suggest me a good player with indexing ability & which shows lyrics n

album cover.

Moving it to software troubleshooting since it seems like you need a solution for windows platform, you aren't likely to get much help in open source section on that.

well you will loose some quality. coz mp3 files are already compressed. why dont you check that by yourself by converting some file n compare them?

regarding player, r u looking for media player in windows or Linux? i could not find any media player in linux that shows embedded lyrics in mp3 file. all that players i tried they fetch lyrics from net. Amarok, rhythmbox both shows Albumart embedded in mp3 file. dont know about ogg.
