guyz, ive athlon64 3200+, a8n-e. 1 gb ram. 160gb segate hdd...
iv installed winxp pro with sp2...n with the autopatcher updates...
now my problem is dat, sometime while booting, during the bootscreen, the statusbar "freezes" for some seconds...and when this happens, it takes around 5 complete minutes to reach the logon screen..
this dosent happen everytime, but say once every ten boots...i m xperiencin this prob for a long time....
even reinstallin dosent help...
so wat dyu think is da prob? pls pls pls help..

Common prob. with me. Happenes @ every startup. Its nuthin but Hardware Detection. Try disabling some of the H/w which u dont use in the BIOS like the COM 1,2 ports and LPT port.

dint find com1, com2 etc...pls could neone b more specific with the solution? this is irritatin...hasnt anyone else suffering frpm this prob, n kno the solution?

@ startup, press Del key. If your BIOS is Award BIOS, goto Integrated peripherals and go thru the list. Disable all the things which you dont need and press F10, Enter. Ur ready.

check ur msconfig file ........ remove all unwanted entries of softwares .....

mayb they might b slowing it down ........

else defrag or scandisk or clean registry 4 bekar entries or run spybot, virus check .......


hope these things help u out ...... try them 1 by 1 .......

what Anti Virus are you using?
have you enabled/scheduled any Start/boot-up scan??
