i installd windows xp manager on my laptop a few days bk...nd since thn i m nt able to use task manager(alt+ctrl+del)...
actually its nt responding...
.n nothin happens..i hv uninstalled it nw... bt its still d same...
cn ny1 help???

You can open "Task Manager" in another way:
right-click on an empty space on the "Task Bar" at the bottom of your screen...one of the options will be "Task Manager".
Choose that and it will open. Then you can check the options, or the help section of Task Manager, to solve your alt+ctrl+del problem.

ctrl+shift+esc also invokes the task manager... you may try tat!!

open notepad and copy paste below bold lines...save it as xyz.reg and double click it .This will fix ur problem.
[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\Curre ntVersion\Policies\System]

check the options in Windows Xp Manager dat u might had been changed by mistakenly .........

i dont think this will work here...b'coz he has has mentioned that nothing happened on open task manager......this key works if task manager has been disabled.......in dat case message comes showing dat it has been disabled by administrator...

Hello dcool Follow this steps
Goto Run
Type gpedit.msc
goto userconfig/administrator/system/ctrl+alt+del/RemoveTaskManagerOption and set as "not configured"
Problem will be solved

Can you try this please:
Open the Run dialog and type taskmgr.exe
