Yeah Man wheres the HALF LIFE 2 DEMO
You know most of the poeple use Win 98 now also like me.
AND DIGIT HAS NOT INCLUDED ANY THEMES FOR WIN 98. Plus the style XP does not even work in my XP whenever i install it . It says your win XP is 2600 and style XP is not supported but it works in my frens even he installedfrom my XP CD.

Anyways will not try any games as my PC does not support and will try Mandrake 10.1 as I liked its predecessor 8.2 given by DIGIT a long time ago.
Anyways thanx for all the things. The mag reaches KTM on 10th of each month

will edit later when i get the mag. I hope the price is still Rs 160 NC

Thank You BYTE I will hope tht you include the games that I have posted in BY DEMAND MARCH as they work on my PC

Thank you Digit Team . Keep up the Good work.

I request you give some movies / some CBT material like things.
CBT can be developed by your team or it can be third party vendors.
If it is going to be yours , then it will little cost effective. This is just a suggestion from my side.

Your Magazine should portray not only the recent technologies changes , upcoming revolutions in the industry. but also to help the young minds to define their career towards this industry.

I hope the DIGIT will help the young developers to develop their skills technically and functionally.

ALL THE BEST

Half-Life 2 Demo

I had to remove this at the 11th hour, quite literally. Reason being that the demo would not install properly. I tried three different sources, same result - Steam would crash after installing about 3 GB of the game. Suffice to say, as soon as we get a proper EXE file, one that installs, we will ship it on the DVD.

i dun care abt the HL2 Demo

@ techno

the cover has a SPIDERMAN , hope it suffices to ur fantasies

man wht do u mean by POP WW review with words

its a professional mag, atleast i dint expect someone from the DIGIT team itself saying such a thing

besides only time will tell whether the mobo+ proccy review this month is worth enuf or its gonna be the same as like the opening 2005 jan issue graphic card review

plain crap and wrong info

hopefully i ll get the mag today

fingers crossed

Form is updated . But the site is as always never updated.

More over digit interactive section is now closed and links are not working.

Digit team should be more concern about updating the Web site then discussion form .

this only shows that digit team is not interested in bussiness any more.

from past two months digit interactive section is never updated .

and when updated it is too confusing as they now don't provide Playware CD. one cd comtenty shows last month content and other current .

and now it shows
We're sorry, but we were unable to find the page you requested.

this can't be expected in any online bussiness[/quote]

Jeez, give byte a break...

For all those who need it spelt out:
Prince of Persia: Warrior Within (with words :P)
The HL2 review done by byte earlier got a lot of flak from forum members. They moaned and complained about the lack of words, and didn't like the pictorial review. So this time he put in a POP:WW review, and was just informing people that it wasn't like the HL2 review, and actually has words!

You didn't like the HL2 review format, we did away with it! Now don't kill him for making a little joke...

You people need to lighten up a bit. A little joke and a smile never killed anyone!

PS: I go on record again: I LOVED the HL2 review.

As for the site updation, it's done, 1st Feb! That's why the forum post is called a PRE-view: forum members / readers get to know what's in the mag and DVD before everyone else.
How is that a BAD thing???

The site needs to improve though, and it will. That's a promise from the Digit Team! :)

Thanx,

Raaabo

You could have also added Acrobat reader 7.0 .

I second that.

ENSPARC CD released Adobe Reader 7.0 in their January edition itself. Digit is yet to release Acrobat Reader 7.0

Procy+Mobo review - Just what I needed right now. Besides 'twas long overdue! :)

PoP review with words! Waiting to see that. ;)

@Raaabo n Byte, no probs with something like a pictorial review, just that it should be properly referred to. Everywhere on the cover, the site, it said "EXCLUSIVE : HL2 REVIEWED!". That gave the idea of something like a feature article, with a hell lotta words and pics! If u had said "EXCLUSIVE PIC REVIEW!", then noone would have complained. And yep it was nice in its own way. Just that we were all expecting something else.

HL2 demo won't work on my current sys. So that's OK. Hope it comes round in March. :)

And BTW some other nice stuff in the mag and on the DVD (forgot what it was already. Neway doesn't matter)

Looks bootiful. When r the subscribers' copies being dispatched? :)

Waiting for it...

Well, lets see what the mobo+ procc test turns out to be.

Gfx card tests was just **** !

Anyway just counting when my subscription ends and I get free ! June looks so near.

One more thing. when will the subscribers get their copy. The only time I got my copy on 1st of the month was in July '04 and the rest of the time after 7th - 12th. Whats the use of subscribing then I can pay extra 30/- and buy it anytime I want.

well got the FEB issue of DIGIT

 PAGE QUALITY worst than ever

 why where the socket 939 baseb mobo+proccy not reviewed

 is there any tie up with INTEL [i dun mind the intel ads on the left hand side of all the review pages] whts the use comparing intel 3.4 ghz cpus with amd 64 3000+

 y DIGIT y ?? where are those tabloid reviews of all the reviewed products like u did a year before

 u just reviewed mobos+ proccys given by the companies. has this been the same before. i feel that just not reviewing something just because they were not given by the manufacturers for free was wrong on the DIGIT part. c'mon guys wht we want from u'll is a review of everything which u can which are available in the market

 as a TECH mag which quote the TECHNOLOGY NAVIGATOR, u shld be ahead of times in wht u review, i so expected the s939 based proccy and mobos, it is quite disappointing

 other contents in the MAG were good enuf and were well written

 BYTE said the POP WW review was with words. as i can see it was a wordly review but wht good a review is if they dun mention the minimum system requiremens for the game to run

 the CD/DVD contents were good but most of us dont buy the mag for the cd/dvd buy for the mag contents.
