Americans are very litigating people. They have no morals, they will take anyone to court for the sake of money, and then will strip for Playboy.

That woman is a model and Yahoo ought to pay her royalties for photos, so I guess suing is okay in this case.
Secondly I wouldn't fancy any news or site using putting up my pictures without permission, unless I'm a celeb or giving a press conference, I have right to my privacy and anonymity too.

nice way to earn easy money. had this been in our country the woman wud have got dates and dates in court and after that may be some 200/- rupees.

I don't know why people consider her action as 'silly' She is a model, and hence photos of her are her livelihood. She is well within her rights to sue, and so would I if I were in the same position. (But I probably will never be, but that's another issue.)
