View Full Version : OpenGL 1.5 compatibility on G965 (ASUS P5B-VM)

hello everyone.
i am having problems running opengl games on my PC . i know it supports opengl 1.5 but i dont think its been initialized , but games like quake4 and doom3 doesnot initialize at all :(, along with cod2, and full spectrum warrior. but quake 3 arena runs smooth.
my specs are c2d e6400 on asus p5b-vm with 1024mb ddr2-667mhz.
please help me.
suggest some third party downloads to improve performance and compatibilty. also i need asistance in tweaking it.
please help me .

everthing seems ok except u didnt tell me the graphics card.
Is it onboard intel GMA 3000 graphics core ?

Ya , I have That onboard crap thingy . GMA
Just download the latest release of video drivers (14.25.0.4704) from intel website.
Your problem will be fixed for sure.

i have already updated my graphics driver to version 6.14.10.4764 .
but this won't help me ?
maybe somebody else can .
plzzzzz !!!!!!!
try a fresh reinstall of windows.

what do you think , i haven't done it ?
XP Pro was fresh installed atleast 6 times .
I have also cross-checked it with XP Home, 2k Pro, 98SE .
The results are more or less same .
Please take this issue seriously . someone anyone
plzz help me , so that i can help others.
there must be a handsome amount of onboard solutions in INDIA .

Dude how did you install Windows 98.
that thing doesnt install in these m/b's:wink:
Infact it refused to install on my 2 year old ASUS (intel) 915g m/b
btw you have to wait for the final version of drivers.:(
have you updated BIOS???
& from where you're downloading GMA updates- ASUS or Intel website.

I am downloading GMA updates from the Intel website . they always have updated copies than ASUS .
btw , i do know about the incompatibility of win98se with asus p5b-vm , thats why it didn't worked for me in the first place , then came my big bro to rescue , he had some workarounds and finally managed it . but the os itself was extremely unstable .
