What modem should I buy?

Hey guys, I want to join the broadband bandwagon & going to apply for a BSNL broadband connection. In the application form, they say that I can buy my own modem to use. I am confused & want to know about which type of modem (DSL/ADSL) and of which brand I should buy? Please Help.

I prefer to buy an ADSL Modem that has an Ethernet and USB Port available

Normally in our area they give HUAWEI SmartAX MT880 Modem
