Ur current proccy is not so bad unless u gonna do some serious work or gammin.
If ur a gamer, first get a good card nd its more woth money for gamers than CPU.

If you compare the Intel® Pentium® D Processor 945 with the Intel® Core™2 Duo Processor E6600 the major differences that you'd find are the front bus speed being 800Mhz on Intel® Pentium® D Processor 945 while it is 1066Mhz on Intel® Core™2 Duo Processor E6600..

Also the features VT± Intel Technology.

Check the comparision charts and Intel site and Toms Hardware for benchmarks.

http://www23.tomshardware.com/cpu.html?modelx=33&model1=432&model2=437&chart=169

I think the price difference between these 2 processors should be close to 45%.

Any1 can give Mumbai price ? Intel Pentium D 950 Presler 3.4GHz 2 x 2MB L2 Cache (4MB total) LGA 775 Processor costs Rs.8300/- in Lamington Road, Mumbai...your local vendor might charge you a few hundred more but it'll save you the trouble of going to Lamington Road + if there are any problems you can just hand it over to your local vendor and he'll send it to the manufacturer for repair/replacement.
