C2D is available and its cost is 15K. But i don't remember its conf.

Give some time for Intel to manufacture "C2D 3.4GHz with 4 MB L2" and then for it to reach Indian shores.

The prices would have been reduced by 1K approx

e6700 has only one variant.... ie the 2.66ghz one...

2.93 GHz is the X6800 ... Core2 Extreme :D ... its over 40k's i think ..

You mean E6300 would be arround Rs 7300 after deducting 1k. Where would that be? Any contact details of such dealer. Because most of places online or in the local market it is still at 9500 & above.

It is not even 8K. It is way above that. Budget will reduce very marginally and effect of budget will take time to trickle down the line to end users and it won't be very great.
However, 4MB in place of 2MB cache CPUs are expected soon i.e. E6350 & E6450 probably.
