The best bet for u is to buy Geforce 7900 GTS..I think it is 10k...wait for a month or 2 & all prices will drop cause Direct X 10 cards will storm the market..And u can go for an even better card...

Complicated Answer :- Directx10 is on the way. You can use this card some where at the end of this year.

If u hav got 6600 256mb (128 bit) version and system RAM 512 mb then u can play F.E.A.R at mid settings 800x600 resolution without a hitch. but raising res to 1024x768 will cause hitches while turning at corners.

There are two variant of 6600 in case of memory (128 mb and 256 mb).

6800 XT 512MB for 8.8k is a good deal if u have the budget, else get at least a 7600GS.
