dnt go for transparency... use silver/chrome as an alternative..
its good enuf...
i did it on one of my fans... used a chrome spray paint.
n if u can just paint the blades, it wud look better, as the black part(frame. etc..) wudnt be visible...

being in india u gotta try alternatives...

35 bucks for d fan,
4 leds not more than Rs.10
spray paint Rs.300 (chrome).. (227gms,, enuf for bout 20-30 fans i guess :P)
n a lil bit here n there..
no way its gonna exceed 600

thnx for the link buddy, but we wont have transparent bladed fans. The black ones will be ugly even if we paint them.:D

After much effort Ive finally made 3 LED fans from local 50 bucks black fans.
I first painter the blades with silver alluminium paint which is gud for reflection and will add some bling-bling too.
Then made inclined holes on each corner using hot pointed iron piece. Then inserted the LED firmly and applied QuickFix[On drying its colourless matter unlike glues like fevi quick].
Then used blue insulation tape to hide the connections around the fans and attached a switch inside the cabby to controll the lights.
It took bout 3 days.

with lights turned off:

but where to connect the LED on the fan??? is it on the wire itself?

can the LED be fit without using resistor????

spynic

depends on d voltage drop on each led..
for eg:
u use 4 leds, havin a 3V voltage drop...
therefore, 3+3+3+3=12V..
so u can connect 4 leds in series to a 12V supply.

if its less than 3, add the voltages , find the difference in voltg.. n use a corresponding resistor..(V=IR)
