Best Books for competitive Exams is Yashwant Kanetkar's Let us C, Let us C++, Exploring C, Pointers in C..

From knowledge point of view, its none other than Bjarne Stroustoup's book..

If you really wants to learn c++ then you should read some standard books on c++

There are only two standard books on c++ which are globally considered complete.

"The C++ Programming Language (Special 3rd Edition)"
Bjarne Stroustrup
Addison-Wesley
ISBN: 0201700735

C++ Primer (3rd Edition)
by Stanley B. Lippman, Josée Lajoie
Addison-Wesley
ISBN: 0201824701

A free e-book:
Thinking in C++ by Bruce Eckel available at: http://www.mindview.net/Books/TICPP...ingInCPP2e.html (http://www.mindview.net/Books/TICPP/ThinkingInCPP2e.html)

Stop reading books and start programming! Just reading books wont give you any help!
