which processor is better??

hi guyes i want to buy a new pc. but i am confused in case of processor should i buy processor with higher clock speed and HT technology or a core 2 duo processor or pentium D.
so plese tell me which is best amung these coz core 2 is very new.
my budget is around 7000rs.

But u cannot get CORE 2 DUO .....

Go for core 2 duo processor... just add Rs.2000 to your budget and get Intel C2D E6300 which costs 8900...
