3g--only video calling or enhanced speed of browsing?

can any one say how to setup the SE k610i for Airtel 3g?
one more thing does 3g means only video calling or also enhanced speed of browsing?

airtel is now testing 3g services, still now 3g services is not launched in india

no man.i just talked with an agent abt corporate connection they provide 2 selected organization employess.they provide 3g.

no way man... the 3G spectrum hasnt yet been auctioned or licensed to ny operator in india.... u must be talkin abt igprs or edge

3G increases data transfer speeds tremendously over currently generation phones. Higher data transfer speeds are required for video calls. Thats why this feature can only be implemented in 3G phones. As data transfer speeds of 3G phones is higher, naturally browsing speeds also increases. 3G phones can support upto 384 kbps download and 128 kbps upload.
Currently 3G isn't offered by any service providers in India.

As of now,3G is not provided in India by any of the service providers.Its also being heard that India will directly move to 4G.
