hi guys,
I have a p4 1.7 ghz machine with 845 motherboard. Whenever i switch on the pc, the boot process does not start. the power indicator becomes on, the harddisk indicator lights up for a couple of seconds and then becomes off. The cabinet fan also is working. The monitor light just keeps blinking.
This happened a couple of times earlier. Then, i just checked for loose connctions in the cabinet and then the pc used to boot. Now nothing happens. What could be wrong?

@wizrulz
my PSU & harddisk both seem to be fine... and I get no beeps at all.
The power indicator(green light) stays on but the harddisk indicator (red light) becomes off after about 2 seconds.

@shankar_ganesh
My RAM is also properly placed.

I will try to change the CMOS battery and also try out what jatt suggested.
I Will post reply after trying.
