== which fone to buy? ==

hello peopl,
i have around Rs 11000-13000. i need a fone with following features
1. sliding fone
2. Good quality speakers.
3. memory storage of at least 30 mp3 songs@ 128kbps
4. good battery life.
5. minimium of 1.3 megapixel camera

so, after i did some amount of searching, i found the following fones
1. SE w550i = this fone has all the features i want, but i ve learnt tht SE fones has joysyick problems....is this true? and wht about the battery life??
2. MOTOrazr = plz give ur comments abt this fone
3. samsung d500 = peopl advised me not to buy this fone...i dont know why??
4 if any newer fones u might have come across, plz mention it.

what about nokia 6270 and 5300 ??? both are sliding and emphasises on music !, with 1.3 mp cam comes under your price range

Why don't you go for W810i for Rs.14,500.

walkman phone with mega bass

2MP cam.

bluetooth, ir, quad band.

not a 3G phone.

comes with 512MB card. you can store 120-140 mp3 songs @128kbps.

Ambandla, w810i s good, but i want specifically sliding ones. actually my mom needs one n she's made her mind for slidin fones.

5300 and W550i have the same sound quality. Only thing is that the W550i comes with better quality default headphones. If you connect better quality headphones to 5300 through the provided adaptor the sound quality will be just as good as W550i.
Yes, some SE phones do have joystick problem, but W550i does not have a joystick.
Overall, i'd suggest you go for 5300. It comes for 11.5k. It has a QVGA screen, memory card slot, EDGE and is a slider compared to W550i which is a swivel design. Its much better overall when compared to W550i. Forget about your other options (V3i, D500).

U can also consider the nokia 5500.Its sound quality is gr8.

5300 is nice but cheap looks and vry small screen and 1.3 camera

but hey listen 6270- cost about 14500 with 1 gb ram

Samsung makes pretty good phones... and i dont think u'll face any problem with the D500....
Phone looks decent, has a good speaker and an excellent lcd...
since the phone is for ur mom.. so i wont recommend W550i, as it looks too funky...
u can also try Moto razr V3i... has a good sound but average ui...

Nokia 5300 is technically a better choice,as it is one of the rare phones that support A2DP (Advanced Audio Distribution Profile) whereby we can listen 'Stereo Music' in specially designed BT headsets (like SE HBH-DS 970 or Motorola HT-820 or Nokia BH-501 or 12W).
