yast problem

Distro Opensuse 10.2
When I want to start yast through kmenu or alt-f2 it says password is wrong but by console I can start it with same password. Also I can log as root with same password. what is this problem? Messages are as follows on 1st and 2nd try
Incorrect password; please try again.

Try this command
kdesu yast
If kdesu gives error that password isn't working. Reinstall it. I had a strange problem a few days back that kdesu wouldn't accept my password at all, and the same password was working nicely from the terminal. So, I just updated kdesu and things were back to normal.

I could not find kdesu but fixed the problem easily.
I logged as root, started yast and changed root's password :p
