I just want to uninstall it and then reinstall it.
the error comes sometime and not always but it affects the installation of a setup file. that is a setup file stops abrubtly showing the same error.
don't have genuine xp for ie7.
__________
this is the error in detail:-

" Internet Explorer has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvenience."
" If you are in the middle of something, the information you are working on might be lost."
"For more information about this error, click here."
DEBUG CLOSE

Try IEradicator (http://www.litepc.com/ieradicator.html). I've used it long ago in Win 98 and it worked fine! I guess it should work with IE6 too.
