Can Computer Record Phone Call Details ?

hi , i want to make my computer as callerID for my LANDLINE, i mean i want to know what all calls are recived ? what all calls DIALED , etc, is there any software for it to connect the phone to computer to know these CALL RECORDS of my LANDLINE ??????

many modem software are bundelled with such tools, I used one some 6 yrs ago which came free with my modem, dont remember the name except that it started with B, it was quite a featured software for a busy office it has called ID, answering machine, recording facility etc etc.
