Weird keyboard problem

ok guys, heres the problem , when i press shift+2, then it shows ", and when i press shift+', then it is @, also shift+3 = £, culd someone explain this , has the keyboard gone cuckoo, plz reply, thnx.

Maybe you selected the wrong type of keyboard.

The only thing I can think of is that either some joke program's running remapping your keyboard layout or maybe you have chosen some weird keyboard layout on your regional settings.

^^ omg bang on yeh , i was just messing with control panel thingies and changed some regional language settings too , changed it to english UK, but switching back to US english doesnt help either, rest assured there is no dirty program running, trouble lies there but i cant figure it out , plz reply qwerty .

try removing additional languages from regional setting , keeping only En-US
