I am planning to upgrade my system for the upcoming vista. But I am confused on whether to go for 2 graphics card (SLIed) or a single higher end graphics card?
Will two 7600 GTs SLied give the dame performance as a 7900GT?

My upgrade includes Quad Core suporting motherboard.
I want to use the machine for high end gaming.

u will do good if you wait for some time, DX10 is coming, you would not like the feel of burnt fingers. that is what i think. else the recommendations will follow vv

Yes actually an 8800GTX is much lower priced than a 7950GX2 or 7950GTX, but the 8800 performs better that 7950GX2 or 2x7900GTX SLI.
So wait 1 or 2 month nd get an 8800GTX or even an 8800GTs would be gr8.

This waiting game is not getting over, I am in the same boat waiting last 4 months..........................getting impatient.
I believe what we need today should be bought today, there will always be something new coming.

yeah surely the dealers are now getting the 8800GTX cards in delhi!!!! so i think the wait is over but they are really priced high ! 31000/- i think its too much but for a high end card its nothing compared to predessors.. :)

If u can't wait for the 8800 then get the XFX 7900GT for 17k or the 7900GTX for 20k. Even if 2x7600GT is better in some games, its always better to have single GPU as u will get only 70% efficiency of the theoritical perfomance of 2x7600GT if used in SLI.
Also for an SLI solution u will have to get a high ebd PSU nd heat will be problem.

Dude why r u bowing down 8800GTX.I know its expensive but have u heard about a new invention....THE 8800GTS!!!
Its much better than 7900GTX & will be less expensive than 8800 GTX.
Go for it...if u wan't...rather than 7950 GX2.
Check the real deal brother!!!!
