virus effected,wana gt retriev.pls help me

dear experts,
i m using AMD Semptron 2800+.

well,unfortunately my pendrive got virus frm a computer (automaticaly duplicating folders).and whn i used n my above said pc,it too got effected.

nw, i triedvto install AVGBAnti Virus.whn i m opening avg's folder,to install,it automatically gets closed,and refreshing. whn i tried to view all files in tools-folder options, the same thing happns.

hw can install anti virus?

pls help me
it is my official pc too.

Try to install the anti-virus in Safe mode!
Also download "HijackThis" from www.hijackthis.de and then run it and post the Logfile contents here. :)

Most of the virus don't allow antivirus softwares to get installed on your system once they invade the system.
In such cases Virus removal tool is more efficient.

>Log on to Windows in safe mode
>Run the cleaner
The cleaner will disable the Virus and then remove it.

bt hw can boot in safe mode?i tried F3 and F8. bt no use?
