My heatsink for AMD 3800+ has been misplaced. It is of 939 socket.
Any one having the same for 3800+ or higher version may sell it to me.
I am ready to pay Rs.500.00 for the same.
Hi Longlife,
I've got the same processor and I replaced the heatsink recently with a Coolermaster heatsink which I picked up brand new for Rs. 700. You could do the same, works really well for me.
Cheers,
Vikz

Thanx vikz for reply.
Which model of HSF of Coolermaster u have bought for 939 socket of AMD 3800+? and from which shop??
I am very much interested to know which model u r talking about at 700/- for amd 3800+.
XdreamIII is avaiable for Rs.700 but that is for AMD 742 socket not for 939.

I have the original hardly used (3 months) amd heastsink/fan for athlon 64 3200+ lying about - its socket 939 but apart from that i dont know if 3800+ uses different heatsink or same - should be same tho or it'll create terrible logistic problems for amd :) Afaik its aftermarket suppliers (thermaltake, coolermaster) etc who make different heatsinks for diff processors - amd/intel classify them via sockets.
Ayways if its same then i can let you have it for Rs 500 delivered in India.
EDIT : At this (http://www.planetamd64.com/lofiversion/index.php/t27508.html) thread people seem to be using heatsinks from 3000+/3200+/3800+ etc to cool a fx-55 without problems.
Regards.
