hi i want to know the best method to convert .vob to .mpg or .divx without loosing quality of sound and video....

Use any Freeware Conversion Software
n in their option use the same resolution & sound quality as u already have in VOB
for eg. use 128KBPS its good enough for Movies
u can also go for 256KBPS but it'll increase the file size

btw i hv noticed...

the qual of .vob (3 GB Movie) is much worse than .xvid/.divx/.avi (Ripped Movie)...

how come original sucks and the ripped is better...??

Its strange...I have never seen anything like that. Probably the VOB movie was a cam rip ...

I haven't used them personally but many swear by DVDShrink and AutoGuardianKnot for converting .vob to .avi :rolleyes:

Its strange...I have never seen anything like that. Probably the VOB movie was a cam rip ...
I guess it mite be the VCD Rip..
coz that DVD ws pirated one with 5 Movies in it...
