my serial port is missing..

hi all..

I could not find my COM port in device manager port list.. it was missing.. please help me how to get it back.. i m trying to connect an infrared device and it is giving error because of that...

The problem is solved.. it was somehow.. disabled in BIOS. I re-enabled it.. Moderators. please close this thread...
