I have a sony ericsson w550i and i would really care to know if by any means ogg files could be played back or wma files.....Is there anything that can alter it mean have the phone support this format?Ya i know 800i mmc card stuff but would be interresting to know if...........

Nope it is not a smart phone, you can't play around it to support other formats. It offers support to AMR, WAV, MP3 and AAC playback only.

Just convert your music to either MP3 or AAC.
