linux installation problem

hi friends

i have problem in linux installation in my system.
my system configaration..

intel 915gav motherboad
intel p4 2.8 mhz
1 gb 400 mhz ram
80 gb seagate sata harddisk
800 fsb
lite on combo
samsung (syncmaster 793mb) 17" manitor
samsung keyboad
samsung optical mouse

my probelm is linux(redhat linux 9) did not find hda how can over come this probelm .please any one help me..

First of all why did u opt for Redhat linux 9....There are many other flavours..Give them a TRy :)

Redhat 9 is an old version released in 2003. Try latest or still better Fedora Core 6 OR SuSe Linux10.1
