I have installed kubntu 6.06
and I want to connect the net through
my reliance FWP phone
LG LSI 110 usb modem

how can I get drivers for it.

within a few days I am also getting MTNL data one broadband connection.
can I use it on ubunutu,How??
there are two options available, one is a pci modem
and the other is usb connection from external modem which one is
more suitable for linux.

MTNL Triband or BSNL DataOne?
Anyways get their broadband modem and connect it via LAN card. USB support isn't so good.

Better get a ADSL router & connect using the Ethernet card. DHCP will automatically
detect your ethernet card & you are connected to the Net straight away in Ubuntu Linux.

It is MTNL triband(I live in Delhi)

actually there won't be many options that they would be giving.

if you know somebody who has taken the connection
than what diff types of modem do they actually give?

Is the modem in the PCI card,or is it connected to a lan card externally??

I am using MTNL Triband on Linux. Just connect the modem/router to your LAN Card using the Ethernet cable (the router box contains one). Boot into Linux and start surfing. You won't need any configuration on your part.
