Japanese electronics manufacturer Panasonic has created a 4-layer, 100GB Blu-Ray disc that it claims will last for 100 years by using Te-O-Pd, a tellurium suboxide palladium-doped phase-change recording film. The film is said to have a high transmittance and crystallization rate which allows them to layer it on without losing data quality.

I'm yet to find reasonably priced dual layer media in the market. This 4 layer media will just be a prototype. No hope of us getting our hands on it.

No one is using a Blue-ray disc here, maybe a very very few people, who bought a
Blue-ray DVD player from US or Japan!! We are very far behind in Technology!! Even
a dual-layer DVD is not common here, also they are expensive.
