I use program for recover Outlook Express mails outlook express dbx extractor (http://www.oemailrecovery.com/dbx-extract.html). It do something: extract Outlook Express dbx files software support to repair dbx files with a size up to 4Gb, support to repair in a Batch mode (include dbx 2Gb files) and have some other possibilities.

Rename folder.dbx to folder.old

Your folder.dbx is corrupted

i think its not corrupted bt a simple problem of SPACE .........

4gb & ONLY 950MB free space LEFT ........ error ur getting is RIGHT ..... VM is taking space & rest of ur softwares also takeup some space, leaving no space 4 ur MAILS ....... try free-ing up SPACE & then try AGAIN .........

or JUST try .dbx file on ur FRDS pc & c if it works ....... ofcourse, DELETE IT LATER ON .......

Hmm.. You should use Import here :

File > Import > Messages > Outlook Express

And navigate to the folder that contains the .dbx files .. I think the error you are getting is because of NTFS permissions ..
