Last day i bought a seagate 160gb sata hard drive, i have set it to 3gb/sec. my bios detected it properly, but my system tray shows "safely remove hardware" when i open it, it shows my new hard drive. Why is this happening?
My mobo is asus a8n-e, i have win xp sp2. my other hard drive is seagate 40gb ata and my os is installed in this.

It's common with SATA 2 drives as it supports e-SATA

If you install the NVidia IDE drivers this shows up in the system tray. If you stay with the MS IDE drivers this does nor show. I use an eSATA external HDD so for me this is very usefull when I want to disconnect the external HDD.
Please note that the nVidia IDE drivers before the latest 6.86 version were meant to be buggy so install this latest NVidia driver or use the default XP MS IDE driver.
