I have never used bit torrent.I used to download via an ADSL connection (100Mbps shared among 6 PC's via a router or something.).When I download through a download manger the download speeds are gr8.but when i tried via utorrent or Azuereus its damn slow.i dont get any download speed almost all the time.What could be the problem???

Check for errors if any showing in the system bar in Azureus
2. go to Tools>NAT/Firewall check
3. Make an exception in the firewall for the port

Is this happent coz of the router?? did u tried the above .. and answer to that first, then can tell why is it slow. firwall may be blocking it

In the torrent network, there are two types of users: Seeders and leechers.
Seeders are those who either have a part of the file to be downloaded with them or have the full file. Leechers only download, they do not upload because they do not have the file or maybe they are selfish ;). Whenever you download a file, after you have downloaded some percent of it, you start uploading. Maybe the file you are downloading does not have enough seeders. Check the file info in the site you downloaded the .torrent file from. If it does not have enough seeders, try searching for another copy which has enough seeders.

@thilina: First you know properly about torrents,go for that torrent which has full health and has more seeders.

The more "greenlevel" colour tells the health is excellent.
