I v installed fedora core 3 on my PC. I am using 56Kbps modem of make MOTOROLA
Can anyone tell me how to configure & use my modem for internet on Fedora core 3 .
Please give the step by step procedure.

Use Kppp, configure your modem and connection in it and dial.

If its an internal modem, you will need to go thru more detailed steps for installing the drivers :( I have myself never been able to install drivers for internal modem in any linux system. However, I have never tried hard enough :p

Is this possible ? that you can run internet broadband connection such as MTNL,BSNL on linux.

Yes you definitely can. Problem arises only with winmodems and broadband connected via USB. Most of them are configurable after a bit of effort, but some unsupported ones unluckily don't work yet.
