you can try gEDA , it is a full GPL'd suite of Electronic Design Automation tools. These tools are used for electrical circuit design, schematic capture, simulation, prototyping, and production.

hey i need a CAD software!!!!!!!!!!!!! that too free and should preferably work in both windows and linux

Varkon, Tomcad, Thancad, Fandango, Lignumcad, Giram, Jcad, QSCad, FreeEngineer, Ocadis, PythonCAD, OpenCascade ...

There is a software called LinuxCAD there, i have seen few professional houses to use this . But i will not prefer it as its not Free ( both in termas of Speech and Beer ) :)

use xfig. Its available with most linux distros
