Hi guyz i have a 80GB compaq notebook.....now i want more storage space....what options do i have ? Seagate 100GB External Hard Disk(USB) is around 7600 here in Delhi which seems too expensive..... is there some other option than USB Hard Disks.....

You can take an IDE hard disk for desktops which will be cheaper. Then use an IDE to USB convertor which costs about Rs. 700 here in Mumbai.

I have no idea about IDE to USB convertor. But how to give power to the HDD.

you can just replace the internal hard drive.. should be around 4500-5000 Rs maybe.. get an 2.5" IDE drive. the other choice is to use a desktop hard drive.. as for power, you'll get an AC power adapter with your hard drive cabinet/converter.. so it'll run off that.
