Well.....u can play games on the A8N VM CSM......but don't expect too much from it.....maybe at low-mid settings with 25-35 fps....around..

Its a good option to get the A8N CSM...and then add a graphics card later........Maybe after a few months a 7600GT to 7900GT some card........only if u will be going for a graphics card later buy a good SMPS......ocz they require lotta power....

Get one thing right, to play todays games(the latest ones) even at 10X7 low to med or med to high for some others you will need atleast :
1GB ram
Geforce 6600GT
no onboard video can do that

You won't be able to play games as well as you think you will.

Get Asus A8N E instead of that mobo, it costs maybe around 5500 and will probably be a much better mobo, oc, stable and all.

Right now you are getting:
Amd 64 3500 + your mobo = 9500

GET THIS instead and it will win over its performance:
Amd 64 3000 + Asus A8N E = 10k
+ sub 5k graphic card and this system will kill that system

keep in mind that all these systems are crap at gaming.

I am not suggesting you a decent card in this budget unless you want to know.

Anyway a cheap way.
Amd 64 3000/3500 : 4500/5700
Asus A8N E : around 5500 maybe a tad more
Geforce 7300GT preferably GDDR3 , better still 7600GS, this one is the closest ot decent I have told you yet, 4.4k, 5kish and around 7k for 7600GS

Cheaper way
get Foxcon mobo without onboard video for around 2k

Cheapest .. get a foxconn motherboard without any onboard graphic solution for 3k and go for a 6600 for 5k or 7300Gt

Man, do you seriously think that a 3000+ will kill a 3500+????

Well, I suggest that mukul goes for a 3500+ & Asus A8N-VM CSM combo. IF you go for a gfx card now, then go for the Asus A8N E.

If you are tight on budget, then replace the 3500+ with a 3200+ or atlast a 3000+.

Amd 64 3000 + 7900GT > Amd X2 4200 + 7600GT in almost all games.

Amd 3000 + good mobo + much better graphic card will easily kill a 3500. PERIOD

To top it, Asus A8N E will let you overclock your Amd 64 3000, then it might even comare to Amd 4000+

Can you tell me why is it so?

Mention the sources which tell :
Amd 64 3000 + 7900GT > Amd X2 4200 + 7600GT in almost all games.

Amd 3000 + good mobo + much better graphic card will easily kill a 3500. PERIOD

Well you might say 7900gt beats 7600gt coz its faster not because 3000+ beats 3500+.

Amd 64 3000 + 7900GT > 7600GT + X2 4200 for most games

An overclocked Amd 64 3000(at 2.8) will surely beat or equal a Amd 4000, this is mostly maths.

For deriving the first you need to do some logic and maths :

GPU benchies
http://xbitlabs.com/articles/video/display/powercolor-x1800gto.html

Now you have an idea how a graphic card performs with a good CPU.

http://www.tomshardware.com/2006/05/15/graphics_card_buyers_guide_2006_part3/

Now you have an idea how a GPU performs with a mainstream CPU.

But still we need to know whether a better CPU helps or not, right, read on.

CPU benchies

Please select gaming bechies preferably at high res and all.

Do keep in mind that what I say is only true if you play at high settings, maybe 12X10 MAX or 10X7 MAX not if you are going to be doing 800*600 MED or something.

This is is a really important one for you.

The only downside is that they haven't all shown the min fps.
