Hello!
When you come across a picture on some webpage while browsing in Opera, if you right click on the image and click on 'Image properties', it even gives you details that the image was made in Adobe Photoshop CS2, etc.
I knew this. However, yesterday I opened a picture taken from Sony Ericsson K800i at GSMArena.com and was pleasantly shocked at the incredible amount of detail available for the picture. Have a look yourself by clicking on the thumbnail below:
http://www.tachypic.com/thumb/1005.jpeg (http://www.tachypic.com/view/1005) 116 KB ( 118715 bytes )
This is just a small preview of the huge features archive of Opera. I just found it so cool that I thought I should post it here. :p

Well Whenever pictures are edited or created with such softwares or cameras , some details get stored into the image file. Most cameras now have this feature , and also does Image Editing softwares ( PS ;) ). Opera just retrives those details and displays it . If you save that file into your computer and chk its properties the you will see the same details in the summary.

What I meant to show was what shaunak, blueshift and dIgItaL_BrAt have mentioned, that Opera is the only browser that displays it. :)

IE is used because it is bundled with Windows...most people just use what they are given. Only geeks like us bother to experiment!

Opera is the fastest browser for windows from my experience. But firefox is faster for Linux.

1. Because it is open source.
2. It has loads of extensions and plugins and themes.
Lastly
Firefox and mozilla rules and rocks.
Opera sucks.

Point no1. is not valid. Most people that use Fx hardly knows what is Open Source.
What the heck you mean it is not Open Source.

I recently downloaded Opera 9 beta and installed it. Really I have to accept that it rocks. Though I am a fan of firefox and most of the browsing i do on it but i felt that opera renders the pages (especially with lots of picts) faster then ff. Earlier also, i have tried opera (Version ???) but that V9 is really cool and worth trying even for die hard FF fans.

1. Because it is open source.
2. It has loads of extensions and plugins and themes.
1> does it really matter if the source is closed or open? i mean how mant times do you actualy edit the source and recompile it?
2> opera has themes and widgets which offer all the functionality of plugins and extentions.
plus opera is a whole lot faster and safer [yes its proven]. it comes with a download manager, mail client, rss reader, bit-torrent support, widgets, mouse guestures, etc....

yup whether the software is open source or not matters only to the developers... not to end users like me...
also firefox asks for extensions n plugins for displaying media on loaded pages... but opera comes loaded with evy possible necessary plugin

IE & FF are light years behind Opera.
What opera creates today is copied by others tomorrow.
& as far as reviews & statastics are concerend, everyone knows that in todays marketing world everything can be "arranged". Although, I must add that I'm not blaming "anyone" (refers to everyone) here.
But come on man, how many times is it that critics have slammed a particular movie, but you actually loved it. My point is in the end of the day, we should measure a thing by how much easier & better the thing has made us feel. This is just an excellent example to prove how a "single tongue" survives between 32 teeths.
I think my point is clear.

I have used almost all of the most popular browsers and have inferenced that nothing beats Firefox. Its a personal liking and I dont suggest anyone to adopt it blindly by simply looking at the stats of worldwide popularity trend of Mighty Firefox. The extensions supported by Firefox are something that extends it to the limit where one wonders if it is really a browser ? or an Application Suite !
Nevertheless, Opera is also a very nice browser. The beauty is unparalleled and the speed of execution is better than Firefox. But the catch is that Firefox without most of the extensions is as fast as the Opera itself. The extensions make the Firefox a bit slow at startup. Opera now supports Widget but trust me, I dont really like widgets. Its better to use Extensions that work within the frame of browser. :) If you like Opera its good but if you like Firefox its more good :)

Hh cmon guys, all these fancy features are of no use if the browser keeps crashin after opening 10 sites simulataneously.
I have tried all IE ,FF and Opera.FF is a big memory hog and IE all spyware breeding ground and Opera seems to be the most unstable on the three but the most feature laden. But instalbility is a biiiiig turn off.
Dont know now which browser to depend on :(.

Firefox crashes because of some problemtic extensions. Anyway Firefox 3.0 will have a better memory management.

--eminemence.It must have been some beta version of Opera that was causing problems. Download Opera 9.01. It is very stable and won't crash on you. As for me, even the beta versions never crashed on my PC though I sometimes even have in excess of twenty tabs open.

I usually don't get involved into browser wars but that is sincerely the most incredulous statement I have ever heard. Have you even used Opera? Do you know what it is!

Common yaar, it was a joke....(many would realise it from the first statement that I made). I was a firefox fanatic first but now I honestly don't care what whoever uses. I'm onto better things....

I think this thread should be locked. Iam so fed up with browser wars. I think it all depends on people like and what they like. If they like opera, firefox,IE and so on. So be it.

OK enough is enough. That's it. Use the browser you'll like. To each his own. All the browsers rock if you know how to handle them.
